Leadership Integration Following Major Acquisition

A private equity owned company acquired a fierce competitor in its largest transaction to date. Critical leaders from the acquired company began to leave within days. We travelled extensively around the US to listen to individual concerns, sell the vision of the acquiring company, assess individuals for fit to the new culture, and ultimately recruit those targeted leaders into new roles.  The additional investment in our services ensured stability during a period of transition, and ultimately generated a greater return from the acquisition.

Diversity Recruiting Project, 110 year old / 100 member law firm

A highly respected mid-sized law firm struggling with racial diversity asked us to lead a search for a Partner-level attorney.  We did that. But we also interviewed each of the firm's non-white summer interns from the previous 4 years to understand why they had accepted job offers from different firms.  We shared our findings with the Managing Partner, and ultimately challenged a number of long-held assumptions in a wide-open meeting with the management committee. Our research and willingness to deliver hard facts led to fundamental changes in the firm's overall recruiting approach.

Design and Recruit Management Development Program

A high-growth company was struggling to define and build a Management Development Program to recruit and prepare mid-level leaders to ascend within 6-9 months into leadership roles with full P&L responsibility for $50-$150M businesses. We designed a workable program and recruited 11 new hires after originally being challenged to recruit 5. At the same time, we dramatically increased the client's diversity in leadership.

Build Leadership Teams in New Markets

A private equity owned distribution and logistics company was investing significantly to expand into new markets but had exhausted its talent bench.  We were hired to recruit entire leadership teams for these regions.  Taking a parallel approach, we attracted operational leaders from top companies in other industries, as well as top sales leaders from direct competitors who had existing customer relationships in the particular markets, to build teams that brought a blend of best practices and market expertise.
